Effective immediately, campfires are now allowed on the Gulf Islands. However, a permit is required and can be obtained from the downtown fire station during business hours.

Currently, NO incinerator or rubbish fires are allowed. For more information, contact Salt Spring Island Fire Department at 250-537-2531
