September 13, 2009

"Sounds Like Salt Spring"

History is in the making. A new radio station comes on air for Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. Called CFSI-fm, it is located at 107.9 on the dial. But the station can also be heard internationally, as programs are streamed live, at www.CFSI-fm.com

The very first program will take place this Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. The show is called "SOUNDS LIKE SALT SPRING". It's an eclectic variety show about everything Salt Spring--the best, brightest, most unusual.

ALAN MOBERG, inducted into the BC Country Music Hall of Fame last year, will be my very first guest. Alan has made 16 recordings, with six CDs still available.

His latest album, REMEMBER ME, which Alan be showcasing live today, has aired on radio coast to coast, in the U.S. Ireland and Australia, and has charted in the Top Ten Roots/Folk/Blues category on university and community radio stations.

His single, Please Remember Me, was released to country stations in Canada last year. CFSI-fm have been playing Alan's music in heavy rotation in the weeks leading up to the start of their regular programming.

Listen in around the world, that's this Sunday, September 13, at www.CFSI-fm.com , to my interview with the "Saltwater Cowboy", Alan Moberg, at 4:00 p.m. PDT. Tell your friends.

Listen live right now...
